"Can't you swing me higher?" I plead. My brother chuckles behind me.

"If I swing you any higher you might get an unscheduled flight lesson," he says between mild coughs.

It sounds like he's getting sick again. He is always catching something now and then. Not everypony believes it though and think he's just being lazy. I know better, he sometimes has to go to the hospital.

All the pretty little sparks

The tension in the locker-room was suffocating. Each of the three pegasi inside were radiating with nervousness and stress. The powerful echo of the cheer outside didn't help – with each explosion of noise from an excited crowd, a new wave of panic hit the awaiting Wonderbolts like a tide assaulting a coastal cliff. They still had at least ten minutes to go, as Team Beta was in charge of the intro in today's show.

The great Princess Celestia sat alone on the cold, rigid hardwood of her personal student's library home. A simple check-up on her most prized pupil was all she had in mind when she flew over to the quaint little town a few short hours ago. Just a quick, simple affair – say hello, catch up, and get back to Canterlot before the day court had adjourned.

A mark
Her legacy
Inked forever
The fabric of time
Altered
Brightened

The world challenged
Acclaim won for glory
Shown with grace
There is more than one way to be a girl
After-effect blooming
There is more than one way to be a boy

A silver trail
Wisely followed
Role-model
A message embodied
Dash of blue: dream big
Corona of pink: laughter, a cure
Ripple of white: share the bounty of life

A tribute to the amazing woman, mother and heroine of our fandom. A beacon of joy and hope to many. I would like to wish Lauren Faust the happiest of birthdays, and may she continue to be an inspiration to us all and the very earth itself. For her brilliance was the spark that revived the embers of my creativity, and I am ever grateful to her.
