141 (who?)

A blissful union
Joining two into one
Shared pinion
Granted the blessing of the sun

Mi Amore Cadenza
Princess of love
Grace, a poetic stanza
Peaceful dove

Shining Armor
Captain of the Royal Guard
Equestria's shield of power
Selflessness, his card

Brother to the Element of Magic
Her refuge, her sanctuary
An end nearly tragic
Averted by steadfast quarry

Blinded by affection
An imposter, masquerading in plain sight
Her diabolical schemes, an abomination
Goal, Equestrian blight

Memories irreconcilable with the present
Suspicion enhanced
All parties directing resentment
Everypony entranced

In caverns of yore
The true musical melody
Released from crystal core
To stop the one so shadowy

Identity, a fake
True form revealed
Queen of Changelings' sake
Canterlot forcefully controlled

Princess of the sun
Bond of one
Love's true power attested

Just as in times old
The power of friendship untold
Uplifted higher, brighter, a sight to behold
The might of love so bold
Triumphing over the cold
A bond of shining gold
Together, forever protecting their fold.

A tribute to the amazing and awe-inspiring season 2 finale and the ponies joined in holy matrimony.

A really big thanks to :iconatnezau: for allowing me to use her brilliantly superb work entitled "Shining Armour and Cadence Contour" as the preview picture for my poem.

For an all-round media experience, here are my favourite "Royal Canterlot Wedding" songs:
1.) "Princess Mi Amore Cadenza & Shining Armour - ByCelestiasBeard"
2.) "Queen Chrysalis' Puzzle in the Caves"
3.) "[HD PMV] My Little Pony - Love is in Bloom [Extended + New Intro + OST Vocals]"

In the spirit of alleviating repetitive messages, I would like to, at this juncture, thank each and every one of you most wholeheartedly for viewing and/or commenting and/or favouriting this piece. I truly appreciate the support!

heres the sad thing. alicorns live forever and shining armor is not an alicorn. so that means cadence will watch shining armor grow old and die

Cadance is an acended alicorn like Twilight, while Celestia and Luna are officially born alicorns.

*Infomation from the books 'Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell' and 'The Journal of the Two Sisters'. Also from the words of Lauren Faust

With this difference and the fact it has offically been said Twilight Sparkle will not outlive her friends I would say confidently that Cadence will not outlive her husband.

True. Theirs is a tale of sorrow clear. That, however, makes the short time which they spend together all the more precious and sweet. Embrace cherished, until the dusk, corporeal presence an illusion, hearts forever locked in an eternal embrace.

Honestly, I cannot think of any other way to praise you enough, given all of the other praise I've given you.

Good, no fantastic job, eloquent as usual.
